NetApp to strengthen presence in Tier 2 cities across India

NetApp is planning to strengthen its presence in Tier 2 cities across India.

The strategy is to grab market share in the growing Tier 2 cities by winning deals from 422 medium and large scale industries worth $133.2 billion.

For instance, Ahmedabad is a focus area for the storage and data management solutions provider.

 

NetApp is currently devising go-to-market plan for Ahmedabad, which houses IT and R&D companies.

“At NetApp we have consistently expanded our customer reach in India and focused our resources / energy towards building high efficiency storage solutions for the Indian market,” said Rajeev Saxena – director, India Public Sector, Commercial and SAARC NetApp Marketing & Services.

Through its expansion, NetApp can grab deals for storage solutions range from large enterprises, service providers, IT services, retail, manufacturing, government, education, infrastructure, banking and finance, telecom and more. ( NetApp earns revenues of $1.630 billion for third quarter fiscal year 2013 )

“Enterprises are witnessing a huge data deluge and efficient data storage solutions pave the way for faster, easier and more efficient data management. Our install base across India has increased and we believe this momentum will continue,” said Krithiwas Neelakantan – director, Channel & Alliances, India & Saarc, NetApp.

Recently, NetApp announced a new version of its storage operating system – clustered Data ONTAP.

The new software gives organizations and cloud service providers the capability to rapidly and cost effectively deliver new services and capacity with maximum application uptime.
